Boriana Nikolova is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Masters/Physician of Medicine in Medical University of Varna, Bulgaria in 1993, completed her residency in Emergency Medicine with Medical University of Sofia, Varna, Bulgaria in 2000. She practiced as a Physician (MD) in Bulgaria Hospital Emergency Department and then moved to Arizona in for a better future. She then stepped into nursing and completed her Masters of Science in Nursing from University of Arizona in 2017. Not settling for the typical level of education for practicing nurses, She decided to continue her education and pursue the Family Nurse Practitioner role to provide better care. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Post Masters Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in family practice in 2021. She is a current member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, as well as Sigma Theta Tau.

She is focused on establishing relationships with her patients that will allow for the best care. She is compassionate and attentive provider that is available and approachable. She is driven to provide education and knowledge and believes that primary care is truly the best preventative care for long-term patient outcomes.

The world of nursing is by far the most rewarding career path. It enables the practitioner to heal, treat, and better understand the world around them. Being a nurse practitioner puts one at the front lines to change a patient’s life, one person, at a time. My education, as well as personal experiences, have shown me how important nursing is to the well-being of communities. Having the ability to positively affect each life that one comes in contact with has inspired me to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

I am originally from Bulgaria, but decided to move to United States, specifically Arizona for a better future for me and my children. My hobbies are traveling, visiting new places, reading books, art, visiting art galleries, watching movies, spending time with friends and family.
